Includes all labor, materials and supplies needed to apply finish such as polyurethane to the
hardwood floor based on entered dimensions of the area. Results are approximations
based on wood floor sealing in the United States.
Total cost sums exclude any taxes charged for both materials and labor amounts.
Options to Apply Finish to the Hardwood Floor:
1 Take the measurement rounded to the next foot.
This may be for polyurethane as well as verathane and other varnishes - oil
or solvent based in addition to water-based solutions.
Note that many smaller sized projects would be done only as part of larger wood flooring projects.
Inclusions and Exclusions
Included is the application of a quality floor finish over hardwood that is ready to receive
the sealer. These prices reflect many popular varnish solutions and sealers available on the market today.
Labor, Materials and Supplies notes:
The labor component charged to the project only.
Includes supplies like brushes for trimming in the floor area and sandpapers
such as 100 grit and 120 grit for possible scratch-coating of any existing base coat surface
that is to be recoated. Also includes a lint-free roller or floor applicator like lambswool to apply the finish.
Figures a maximum of applying 2 coats sealer, urethane or varnish material.
Although the first coat may actually be a treatment to help consistency and provide proper mil thickness of top coat for the sake of appearance and wearability performance.
Final cleanup and disposal of waste is allocated within these amounts.
