Options for Interior Doors:
1 Note that wooden doors are pine species. Masonite is also commonly
referred to as 'hardboard' or 'molded' surface. Also, hollow core doors
are integrated among the "Low" price figures while solid core are among the "High" numbers.
The flush door slab (veneered) is only considered among the lower priced materials
of wooden doors.
2 Factory bored normally adds about $5 to the cost of the new door as a stock item.
Doors typically require mortising of the hinges to mount in alignment with jamb side hinges.
Inclusions and Exclusions
Amounts cover supplying doors to match and made to fit on an existing jamb.
This covers popular panel door styles in up to 28" to 30" widths,
including mainly 6 panel and certain 4 panel masonite door slabs.
Includes the cost of pulling the old slab and the reuse of existing door casing is
assumed - in the event trim is not salvageable, new trim to match is traditionally extra.
Excluded are costs associated
with door hardware like hinges, screws, door handles and striker plates. Excluded
also is the painting or staining of the door.
Labor, Materials and Supplies notes:
The labor component charged to the project only.
Includes all labor necessary for the completion of project
from setup, providing fasteners & finish nails, nail guns, finish routers and mortise templates/jigs,
hammer & chisels, and any necessary removal equipment like cordless drills.
Amounts for the labor portion may fluctuate based on the particular zip code by 20% and greater as can the doors themselves.
