Includes all labor, materials and supplies needed for laying maple slat flooring
based on entered dimensions. Results are approximations based on wood floor installs in the United States.
Total cost sums exclude any taxes charged for both materials and labor amounts.

Inclusions and Exclusions
Included is the laying of solid maple floor slats in a straight linear fashion.
This excludes any accents or patterns. Includes up to a 3/4" thick floor
with tongue and groove joints which can be refinished with typical widths at
2 1/4". Though this can vary, price normally increases with slat width.
Grade of maple wood floor figured includes Select and Better, and First grade
on up to clear grade of maple that occurs as a higher quality alternative priced accordingly.
Labor, Materials and Supplies notes:
The labor component charged to the project only.
Includes all materials and supplies needed for prepping and
clearing the subsurface like resecuring subfloor such as plywood or planking
(to prevent movement or squeaking) along with any leveling needed as well as
pulling and replacing doors and performing undercuts at the jamb &
casings. Includes labor and materials for underlayment such as the laying of
felt paper, shooting staples/brads & setting nails and applying adhesives,
and the attachment of shoe mould around the perimeter
baseboard. Materials allocates an approximate 5% due to waste cuts.
Includes supplying and installing transition strips at doorways
of the bordering areas which are bevelled where necessary. All floor surfaces
to be hidden beneath baseboards and door casings around the room circumference.
Final cleanup and disposal of waste is allocated within these amounts.
Amounts for the labor portion per specific geographic locales may fluctuate based
on the particular zip code by 10% to 12% and greater.
