Includes all labor, materials and supplies needed for the pocket door install as per below. The results are across-the-board approximations only. They are not meant to mimic actual price quotations. Total cost sums exclude any taxes charged for both materials and labor amounts.

Options for Interior Pocket Doors:

1 The flush door slab (veneered) is considered among the lower priced materials of wooden doors only. All other wooden doors are taken to be pine. Also, masonite is commonly referred to as 'hardboard' or 'molded' surface. While hollow core doors are integrated among the "Low" prices and solid core are among the "High" amounts.

Inclusions and Exclusions

Numbers cover supplying a basic track equipped frame, and mounting it properly within an exposed, correct wall framing. Door styles include popular panel doors in up to 32" widths, and this includes 6 panel versions. Placing new trim is also included - common MDF profile casing (primed). More elaborate mouldings would be an upcharge and the moulding is normally mitred and nailed following the drywall finishing, a seperate trade.

Supplying and installing a door latch is included. Painting or staining of the door is omitted.

Labor, Materials and Supplies notes:

  • The labor component charged to the project only.
  • Includes all labor necessary for the completion of project from setup, providing fasteners & finish nails, nail guns, shims, and a sufficient lineal amount of casings.
  • Installs that call for more than a 'basic' pocket door frame, for example, those rated at greater than 150 pounds (for example, by Johnson Hardware) will raise the bill $39 and greater.
  • Amounts for the labor portion may fluctuate based on the particular zip code, same case for materials.
